Trump and the News Media
Well by attacking the group Trump got the press to completely forget about the refugees on the southern border.
You would think that after all this time the media would learn to deal with his misdirection.
Relevant and even prescient commentary on news, politics and the economy.
I think the trouble you progressives have, you take Trump too seriously and miss the key facts. Trump allowing Evangelicals more leeway in missionary work down in central america created the infrastructure for a boom in migrants from there while the Obama administration, they “knew” deportation was likely and so they didn’t try. Evangelicals are getting nice kickbacks from Republican businessmen as well, creating the financial incentive to give to these people.
I suspect many kids have been sold and the older ones are servicing Asian plutocrats in very disturbing ways. Trump Organization is a multi-national money laundering and trafficking of human beings.
Social Nationalism would not tolerate this. Travel bans would be put on Evangelicals and business would face capital controls reducing and directing capital to produce in a way that supports American interest at home by de-globalizing US business and removing it from foreign countries. Lastly, support for far left governments in these countries and a united front to repatriot central american citizens via drug legalization and a marshall plan for central america so we can buy their agricultural products(cocaine and barley mostly) to support those countries.

I will take care of it in my own way and Bert knows I am not fooling around. I read just about everything out here. Dan also knows what I do and do not do. By the way, trump is just distracting us from the issues. Mr. Barr has taken it upon himself to quietly cancel multiple investigations according to Daniel Becker.

It’s been pointed at some blogs I visit that while the news media has done its usual half-assed job during this current BS from Trump, the outcome hasn’t been what Trump needs. For instance, the tabling of impeachment vote, given our typical media framing with nudges from the rightwing, might’ve been a week or more of “Dems in disarray!” “Vindication for Trump”, but instead it’s full time debating just how racist Trump is, how racist his supporters are, and whether it’s okay to just say they’re racist or instead to point out that what they’re doing is what racists do.

Meanwhile we are cooking people in the southern border heat. I guess trump’s racist charade worked to distract us from what is going on down there. AOC and the other three are some tough women. I did not sense any of their feelings being hurt. Lets get back to frying trump’s ass for what he is doing to people on the southern border.

if you mean by frying his ass saying mean things about him, i’m afraid that won’t help the kids at the border. i’d like to see someone organize about a hundred congressmen and a thousand state legislators and at least ten thousand you’s and me’s to go to the border and get arrested.
being somewhat realistic i’d give a pass to those citizens for whom it would be a hardship, but not the politicians.
as for bert, i think we can manage to put up with his saying mean things to us. i am sure that once someone strong tells him something else then that’s what he will believe. meanwhile he is fairly representative of about half of the electorate and we need to figure out a way to reach such people.
