A Warning of Things to Come
The latter part of New Deal’s report on January 2025 Jobs portends of things to come in the economic reporting of Employment and Unemployment statistics. It is thought the accuracy of the reporting “may” change going forward. We hope not.
It is a possibility with this administration. If unreported, it is taken as never happening.
January jobs report: annual revisions clear up some big discrepancies, Angry Bear.
ONE FINAL IMPORTANT NOTE: This may be the last “clean” employment report available. The DOGE goons have been interfering at the BLS for the last several days, and a number of data series have already disappeared. We know from COIVD that this Administration believes that if bad news isn’t reported, it didn’t happen. Many economists and forecasters are on the lookout for telltale signs that the data gathering is being compromised.
Keep talking as this is one way to get the reality of the economy out in the open.

The problem for DOGE is that investors have independent ways of figuring out and will punish the market. Same with the next pandemic–when the EDs and morgues start filling up, people will notice. They can run but they can’t hide.
