Merry Christmas Angry Bear Readers and Writers
It has been a tough year for Angry Bear. We lost Dan Crawford to cancer. Dan was Angry Bear’s owner and my friend. From October of last year, I was talking to him on and off when he could talk. I would post his selected commentaries till he could no longer pick something he would want to present. The hopes of a recovery disappeared late last year. In his last week alive, his wife told me Dan hoped we could keep Angry Bear a going blog.
There are no fees charged to read Angry Bear. As written by volunteers, our content is good and interesting. Angry Bear exists due to the readers of Angry Bear which generates the funds to pay for the Server.
I hope this Christmas finds you happy, of good health, and with family. Be safe. Peace . . .
Frank Cross: “It’s Christmas Eve! It’s . . . it’s the one night of the year when we all act a little nicer, we . . . we . . . we smile a little easier, we . . . w-w-we . . . we . . . we cheer a little more. For a couple of hours out of the whole year, we are the people that we always hoped we would be!” Bill Murray “Scrooged“
Merry Christmas to the content creators at Angry Bear, especially Bill. Angry Bear postings keep me coming back. I like all the Medicare Advantage coverage. And of course the awesome Dale Coberly Social Security writings.
I’m glad that Bill now resides in Arizona. We need all the help we can get in this state.
Jim:
Dale Coberly’s plan was accepted as a workable solution to the upcoming SS issues. The present administrator(?) believe the country shoud raise taxes on the upper income people. This opens it up to political interference. Small and incremental increases over the years will fix the issues.
AZ is a hodgepodge of political interests mostly aligned to padding political pockets. I have my fingers in trying to create a solution to fix a series of manmade lakes which were and are improperly aerated by the developer/builders. The CCRs of the development cast everything in their favor. I doubt they can be used if negligence is shown as the cause of the issues. I may write about it (The Lakes, Maricopa, AZ) here too.
Sometimes I wonder if what I write is read. Right now, we are shy writers. So when people like Robert Waldmann (a real economist as opposed to me), Eric Kramer, Sandwichman (another real economist), New Deal democrat, Joel Eissenberg, Dale Coberly, Ken Melvin, and others who guest write; it gives Angry Bear character, a personality, and takes some of the load off of me.
I am south of Phoeniz Jim and the rest of you and in the desert.
Thank you for your comments.
Thank you for all the fine, fine posts.
Bill, thank you on behalf of myself and all the AB community for keeping body and soul together here. You are, whether you want to be or not, the soul of AB now.
