Jack Welch on CNBC
It was fascinating watching Jack Welch on CNBC this morning.
He kept talking about how we needed to sacrifice to balance the budget.
But at the same time he kept pushing that the Bush tax cuts had to be preserved.
I kept wanting to ask Welch what he was willing to sacrifice to balance the budget.
He sure seemed like he was the typical CNBC host or guest that was quite willing to ask others to sacrifice but did not offer to make any sacrifices himself.
So my question is Jack Welch, what are you willing to sacrifice to balance the budget?
Spencer –
Welch is willing to sacrifice everything you own.
WASF,
JzB
I watched the same show with Welch, and – I wanted to asked him the same question. But the answer is simple: only commoners are supposed to sacrifice – not the plutocracy. Welch fits right in with the crews at CNBC. The next thing I’m looking for is a sub-name for them: CNBC; a Division of Fox News.
“So my question is Jack Welch, what are you willing to sacrifice to balance the budget?”
I have always relied upon the suffering of others.
Do not fret anymore …. La Boca Party is back … loaded for bear.
They are going to balance the budget by extending the Bush Tax cuts, signing the biggest “free trade” agreement ever with Korea, setting free the creativity of the health care, health care insurance, and energy markets, and bringing sanity to the entitlements of social security and medicare.
John Boner has promised America to “rip the health care bill out by the roots” and make a new law that makes sense to Americans steeped in the tradition of Freedom, God, and Self Reliance.
But he will bring back medicare advantage, because since it is the medicare set that put them in they can not go against it.
He gave at the office.
Spencer,
Jack was married to a good friend of mine from high school days. When Jane divorced Jack, she cleaned his clock. It’s understandable that he doesn’t want his taxes increased. Ha.
I think that he lost the use of GE’s jet fleet among other things when Jane popped him.
I hate the guy. Absolute asshole.

Jack was married to a good friend of mine from high school days who is quite a bit younger than him. When Jane divorced Jack, she cleaned his clock. It’s understandable that he doesn’t want his taxes increased. Ha.

Jack Welch is an absolute asshole.

Jack Welch is a real bastard. I could share a number of stories, but won’t. Pure asshole, that one.

That’s easy – the same thing he’s been willing to sacrifice for years. American jobs. GE has been a long term culprit of offshoring & bringing in H1-B workers under the lie that they can’t find workers in the US that have the needed specialty skills.
Of course, he’s also for keeping tax breaks for the rich since they help the middle class (ha- ha – except he means the middle class in EM – not in the US which is shrinkin grapidly.)
He’ll sacrifice thousands of jobs!
Funny thing is, his new wife (he started banging her when she interviewed him for a Harvard publication) wrote a book on how to be successful.
How to be successful: get a prestigious MBA, get a journalism and research job, interview a retired CEO with a billion dollars, bang him so he leaves his wife, marry him.
He has an ego the size of some countries.
Everyone across the specturm is much better at asking than answering what should be cut.
No Arne, there are many people who understand a rational approach to better fiscal budgeting. Fisrt, stop pissing the wealth of the nation down the middle-east war zone hole in the ground. Declare victory in both Iraq and Afghanistan and stop wasting that extra trillion a year. Restore tax rates to the Eisenhower era and close all loop holes. Pay your taxes. It’s patriotic to support the government that helps to produce and protedt the great wealth of the very few.
Is any more than that necessary?
Thank you, Jack. I think we could also close the Department of Homeland Security and find ourselves still safe and much more financially secure.
Why do you think they call him Neutron Jack?
As Leona Helmsley might have said, “Only little people sacrifice.”
