Adverts
Ads were in the works, but their appearance today caught me not preparing readers for this event except for Bears. Sorry. Angry Bear is trying out the notion of a small revenue stream to help take care of expenses instead of our personal income. The time involved to keep the blog running involves much time, so a small stipend may emerge if the ads prove capable of producing income.
I refuse to look at the ads unless you cut me in. And after the post by Cactus there is one particular ad that I refuse to read no matter how much money you send me.
I hadn’t thought of having to pay people to look at them. Oops.
Rdan,
I don’t blame you for becoming a corporate whore. We all like money.
so, are you changing the site to “the angry capitalistas?”

I have been searching information by visiting several blogs and articles online. But this page has turned out to be the ultimate destination of my desired knowledge. This has no doubt really fulfilled my contention and for that I am thankful to the blogs owner! Regards.

If people want new media to permit information flows which the MSM exists to suppress and pollute; people will have to pay for that new media. One way to pay for that new media is to pay attention to ads on blogs. Then the ad placers will keep paying to put their ads on blogs.
And blogs will keep existing to allow information to route around the damage which we call MSM.
Rdan,
You shouldn’t apologize for such a minor intrusion into your content. I ignore print ads, TV ads, and radio ads, so it is no surprise that I ignore internet ads, too. Mass marketing is an epic fail and always has been, but if you can make a buck off of it, great for you and the site.
There is rapidly coming shakeout of bloggers who have been subsidizing their blogs, sometimes at great effort. I appreciate the effort that is taken in this blog. I seldom agree, but I do understand the discussions. Whatever it takes.
I would appreciate it if a few of the popular and honest blogs could get together and discuss advertising revenues as if they weren’t a sin.
LessIsbetter,
Interesting for a post. Thanks for the compliment as well. BTW, I don’t always agree with myself, either.
Tao Jenesing,
I did not apologize for the ads, I apologized for the lack of notice given. On the other hand, I have some misgivings internally…but not serious ones. Ads are late in coming due to my personal newness to blogging and simple enthusiasm from a do gooders perspective.
You go rdan! You put a lot of work into Angry Bear, and it gives enjoyment to a lot of people. I hope you make a lot of $$$$.
