Designed to Fail
The appointments of Hegseth, Noem, Kennedy, Patel, et al weren’t mistakes; they were part of a plan to destroy America so that ‘they’ can rebuild it in their image under their god and the Heritage Foundation in memory of Joseph Coors, Paul Weyrich, and Lewis Powell in the interest of wealth almighty. Something the states of the former confederacy and their progeny had long yearned to do, given the opportunity, excepting for different reasons and not the plan — they ain’t that smart, he is.
Both, something he himself has said so more than once. Trump is his and Thiel’s and Adelson’s and Miller’s and Bannon’s and Putin’s and the gods know who else’s useful idiot.
The appointed, and the despicable one, were chosen for their incompetence; because they were sure to fail. That was the objective; is what we are witnessing from our front row seats; was always the plan. The intent was to destroy the America of we the people and restore Powell’s America of ‘business’ i,e, of and for the wealthy in the guise of a white nationalist theocracy or vice versa — a coalition of heaven and hell if there ever was one.
His and their being smart enough and dumb enough to destroy America doesn’t mean that he or they is/are smart enough to to rebuild anything approximating or resembling a nation that anyone other than they themselves would be stupid enough to want to live in. A tower of babble, if ever.
He and they are part of a coalition made up of white supremacists, white nationalist, and conservative fundamentalists sects of various Christian or Jewish sorts working with/for some half-baked broligarchs and other very wealthy interests with some intra-mixings. A coalition on the offensive because its members are scared, cruel, insane, or various combinations thereof.
The wealthy have always felt threatened by democracy — threatens their control. The white supremacists are maybe a little insecure about the supremacist part? The white nationalist would solve the problem by eliminating the competition. The fundamentalistic religionistics are threatened by science, education, the facts, and reality — it’s backward ho for them. Against anything holy and devoid common decency, the white supremacists and white nationalists are allied with the fundamentalistic religionists.
Today and of late, the coalition is formally known as the Republican Party, aka, the Party of Trump. Whatever it’s called, it comes from insecurity, cruelty, insanity, and combinations thereof.
Today and of late, the Republican Party is the party of anti-facts, as in AntiFa (for short). Preferring to hear their own version of everything, they mainline Fox, NewsMax, and the Heritage Foundation’s crack propaganda; impose it on the rest of us, if they have their way. For years now, its House and Senate members have pressured Social Media into posting their misinformation and disinformation without challenge; traditional media into treating their misinformation and disinformation as equivalent the truth — pushovers, the both. Lately, Senator Cruz is all over Wikipedia’s case to quit taking down the Heritage Foundation’s creative research data. Red state Republican parents insist on their right to insure that their kids grow up to be as dumb and ignorant as them and their parents before them.
None so indignant as the scoundrel(s) — The recent Presidential round table on anti-fascism was worse than the pot calling the kettle black. Professor Tim Snyder* brings the facts; it was the Weimar Republic redux with the fascists calling the opposition antifa as a pejorative. Trump, Miller, Bannon, Vance, et al are right to fear the anti-fascists like you and me, the ones who believe in the constitution, the rule of law, and elections who are intent on stopping their fascist takeover of America; i.e., the vast majority of Americans. Cruz, Jordan, Hawley, Perry, Johnson, Greene, et al are right to to fear the rule of law, and us, because they abetted the January 6 attempted coup.
The White Christianic Republic of America just doesn’t have that ring (forgot to check it with Luntz?). Ain’t gonna fly. Especially not for the more progressive, liberal and democracy minded, Heinz-57 variety, anti-fascist we-the-people Americans who believe in the constitution, the rule of law, and elections .
