This is what a Governmental “Ass” Does
Can we get any worse in the attacks on immigrants whether in the U.S. legally or not? Is there no character or integrity? Apparently not as Kristi Noem’s DHS fast-tracks the deportation of 5-year-old after viral ICE arrest. Taken from The Mirror USA
Not much will stop the fast-tracking effort to deport a 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos and father, Adrian Conejo Arias. Let one in and then more will come to the United States wanting entry. Ramos, his older brother, and their father fled to the U.S. from Ecuador seeking sanctuary after legally applying for asylum in 2024.
The asylum case remains pending, and there is no direct order for their deportation. However, such legal application will not stop the Trump and his administration from deporting a child, brother, and father back to the country from which they came.
A U.S. District Judge (Fred Biery) did order Trump (it is his decision) to release the father-son duo nearly two weeks after their initial arrest. A judge’s order does not appear to impede Trump and his administration. It is older news and worthy of reminding us how bad we can be.

You are far too polite …
Ten Bears:
The title was a reach. I am not prone to use words attracting attention with their use, What should attract readers is the topic. Deporting a child? Deporting people who have legal status to remain in the US. The legal system is painfully slow.
Deporting a few politicians and government appointees is much needed.
Looked into the asylum petition behind all this. Couldn’t find a clear explanation of it, but I don’t need to know so not too surprising. But I did find a couple interesting
points in something called FindLaw blog that suggests that public statements of relatives might be undercutting the asylum request and that the aid already provided to the family by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to help the family also looks kind of prejudicial to the claims of well-founded fears of persecution. The family’s lawyer evidently has asked Ecuador to stop helping.
