Pushing the “Big Beautiful Bill” . . .
Getty’s Kevin Dietech snapped this picture of Republican Majority Leader Mike Johnson peering over his shoulder as he enters a meeting. Or what looks like a meeting. One of several authors writes it is a House Rules Committee Meeting. And probably about Trumps “Big Beautiful Bill.”
“The Devastating Harms of House Republicans’ Big, ‘Beautiful’ Bill by State and Congressional District” Center for American Progress
It is the perfect picture of Mike Johnson as it appears he is checking out who may see him sneaking into entering the meeting room. The topic? One Big Beautiful Bill Act being decided by Republicans and rammed through the House by a Republican Majority.
The CBO estimated 8.6 million Americans would become uninsured. of which, results from eliminating access to Medicaid. But there is one new reveal which Trump, Mike, and Republicans did not discuss openly.
Medicare enrollees who would no longer be receiving cost-sharing assistance because of administrative hurdles “would face increased out-of-pocket costs (for Medicare premiums and copayments, for example), leading to a reduction in use of Medicare’s services and thus to lower Medicare spending” netting another $11 billion in projected savings by making care too expensive for people to use.
Trump’s pandering of Mike Johnson is yielding the results he would not openly do himself. Hence, the Big Beautiful Bill which Mike Johnson pushed through the House all to appease the Trump.
I would be looking over my shoulder too . . . to see who might notice my entering a meeting to strip people of healthcare insurance they can not afford on their own. And give to the top 5 percent of taxpayers about $1.5 trillion in tax breaks.
