If you ever go back to Europe, do not expect a lot of respect from Europeans. This sellout will anger them as they know it could be them next.
And Zelinski is supposed to be happy about this when he meets Trump and Vance. Ukraine is fighting a war and we don’t have to do so. We just supply Ukraine. And it keeps Europe safe which would be a much bigger loss.

People who were for shuttering that war, abandoning our plucky South Vietnamese, are now holding “selling out Kiev” as something quite horrible.

There is no comparison between the US military occupation of South Vietnam and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. None.
Trump (Musk more likely) wants Ukraine’s minerals in exchange for protection. I think “pizzo” is the word we are looking for.
