LOL! I’m absolutely confident that Hegseth hasn’t read a word of Marx or Marxist economics. I’m equally confident that Marx never wrote a single line arguing that social justice should be prioritized over combat readiness or about gays in the military.

Unless you exclude “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs” you are probably off by a bit. Of course, the small number who could identify that it was Karl rather than Groucho would make another sheepish statistic.

Hegseth knows more about Groucho than about Karl. Maybe in his reference to Marxism, he was referring to Marx Brothers fans. I overlooked that possibility.
