Trump’s Proposals Could Bankrupt a Vital and Popular Program Within Six Years

A bit of a rewrite of an article.

The Social Security scandal Trump doesn’t want you to know about

Something else Donald Trump doesn’t want you to know about and how it will impact you. This type of plan always comes out later and then everyone says; “well if I had only known!” It is painfully obvious Trumps means you no good . . . especially with your retirement.

And here’s the scandal:

If implemented, Trump’s economic proposals could bankrupt this vital, popular program within six years.

Yes, that is one way to do it. As Dale Coberly, Arne, and others have discussed at Angry Bear; Social Security was always fixable just by raising the tax a tenth of a percent or two tenths. You would achieve the same results without the politics. If you want to insure it even more than increase the tax to cover $200,000. The Northwest plan is very adaptable.

Trump’s preferred proposals would include: mass deportations of immigrants; large tariffs on all imports; and eliminating taxes on tips, overtime pay and Social Security benefits. Some of these ideas are quite popular; Harris has even come out for “no tax on tips.” But taken together, these ideas could be disastrous for Social Security’s future.

So, what could happen if such plans were implemented?

I can’t tell voters whether to prioritize democracy, their freedoms or their pocketbooks. But for all three concerns, the candidate who presents the biggest threat is the same: Donald Trump.
