Question(s) and Thoughts of the Day
Back to School:
As Kayleigh McEnany leaves the podium, White House reporter Brian Karem shouts this question:
“Kayleigh, if it’s safe to send people back to schools, is it safe to send Manafort back to prison?” Brian Karem
A letter to Lt. Colonel Vindman:
Happy 65th birthday to “Lindsey Graham SC”
As your Senator, I promise to protect your new retirement benefits from Medicare, the program you’ve been trying to gut for decades.
Jamie Harrison
US Senate candidate, SC
An Old Meme:
For the 1/100th time, the reason we show so many Cases, compared to other countries that haven’t done nearly as well as we have, is that our TESTING is much bigger and better. We have tested 40,000,000 people. If we did 20,000,000 instead, Cases would be half, etc. NOT REPORTED! Donald J. Trump
A new Requirement:
Can we amend the Constitution to require that, in addition to having attained the age of thirty-five years, presidents be able to understand fractions? George Conway
Trump positions himself to be popular to voters that believe that fractions are just distractions from whole numbers.
The consequences of a dismal educational year are hugely greater than having an elderly Paul Manafort living quietly out of prison or Stone not going just yet. It is absurd to conflate these. It is absurd and ill-intentioned almost certainly. Getting to the best school policy is going to be very hard even without nonsense like this. To waste part of a press briefing with this is ridiculous. Does anyone think it appropriate to decide the “Manafort” policy and then simply apply it to American schools?
Roger Stone pardon is imminent?
(CNN) President Donald Trump implied in a pair of interviews Thursday that he was ready to grant clemency to Roger Stone, his friend and ally who was convicted of, among other things, lying to Congress and is set to go to prison this month.
Trump is widely expected to pardon or commute Stone’s sentence, according to at least half a dozen sources close to the President.
Asked by Fox News host Sean Hannity whether he’s considered a pardon or commutation for Stone, Trump said during a phone interview, “I am always thinking.” …
I’m new to this blog, but this was a fantastic post. 10/10 🙂
