It’s crunch time. Just a little reminder from Ross
Just a little reminder for everyone. It’s not just his “giant sucking sound” comment. It’s the time frame he noted, and the advantages to a business going to a foreign nation. Well, tomorrow is the Fast Track vote and there are some dem’s who are not taking the threat of loosing their job seriously enough.
I don’t suppose that anybody in Washington remembers or cares because none of them ever worked in manufacturing. It has been no loss for them. I loss everything. My job ,savings , family, pride ,respect dignity and future. I do not look at America as the land of opportunity or for fairness in anything. The rich have gamed the system and will continue to game the system to their advantage and that is just the way it is and will always be. I guess I should just go back to working for min wage at Wal-Mart and keep my mouth shut because nothing is going to change for the better for me..
William,
There are some in Washington who care. This next election we need to add a few more.
This is not so much about us anymore as it is about what we are leaving to the future. I think we can view the “greatest generation” and maybe more so their parents not so much for WW2 but for the battles fought politically post the Depression that implemented the social consciousness as evident in the New Deal policies and the rhetoric of FDR et al.
Unfortunately the next generation did not follow through so well and now we are fighting for the future we leave the children.
Our votes still count. If they did not, there would not be so much money spent to sway them. To counter the money, we have to believe (and that is what it is, a belief) that We the People government are the ultimate power when organized properly and will effect the changes over time needed. But, it will not happen if we give in to defeat because we may not benefit at this moment.
It’s not about use now, it’s about us as the future looks back on us.
