Some key excerpts: “He was elected exactly and deliberately to say NO! and “stand firm” against fear mongering and senseless (and expensive) processes.
He is entirely the product of The Hegelian Left pushing too far and too fast….”
To explain why he says this:
“And that is why all the name calling and mud throwing and sneer and smear campaigns don’t do squat. The more folks piss and moan about him being rude, not listening to the “professional advisers”, making chaos and generally being unfit for polite Washington Cultured Meetings; the more we know he’s doing the right job!
We WANT him to be immovable.
We WANT him to insult the swamp dwellers.
We WANT him to kick some butt and take names (or just keep kicking the butt if it won’t give up a name).
We WANT him to piss off folks far and wide, in our government and in others.”
And closing with this:
“We stopped buying into the fear monger, and we’re working from anger.
It’s very hard to be fearful when you are burning angry.
BTW, impeach Trump, the angry turns to rage.
You think the Trump Bull is bad, wait ’till you see the Raging Bull. ”
If you remember, I have said for many years we are approaching a revolution, and a large portion of the populace, “the deplorables”, feel this latest attempt to impeach the president is a political revolution.
Let’s all hope it doesn’t move from a “political” war mode into a civil war. Our last didn’t go well for the country.
But I know a swamp dweller when I see one. And they are conservative reality, always have been.
“There is no campaign promise that Donald Trump has failed to honor more flagrantly than his oft repeated pledge to “drain the swamp” in Washington, D.C. He has violated the letter of his promise and trampled all over its spirit. His supporters ought to be furious. But few perceive the scale of his betrayal or its brazenness….
At the same time, “the administration has not been shy about hiring individuals who were once registered as lobbyists with the federal government. Data provided to The Washington Post by the liberal PAC American Bridge details the extent to which former lobbyists have made their way into the administration. Twenty work for the executive office of the president itself, including four ‘super-lobbyists’—ones who represented at least 10 different companies or organizations before coming to work for the government. What’s more, of the 74 lobbyists identified … 49 now work for agencies they used to lobby.”
Throughout its 159-year history, The Atlantic has been reluctant to recommend candidates in elections. In 1860, three years into publication, The Atlantic’s then-editor James Russell Lowell endorsed Abraham Lincoln for his first run for president and also endorsed the abolition of slavery.[38] In 1964, 104 years later, Edward Weeks wrote on behalf of the editorial board in endorsing Lyndon B. Johnson and rebuking Barry Goldwater’s candidacy.[39] In 2016, the editorial board endorsed a presidential candidate, for the third time since the magazine’s founding: Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, in a rebuke of Donald Trump’s candidacy.[40]”
Three presidential endorsement in its history, 1 Republican and 2 Democrats, the last one being Hillary, who historically may be the worst of the Democrats ever to run.
does us a service by laying out the “conservative” view.
now it’s up to us to see what we can do to change their minds. (i think name calling is counter productive, but it may serve to keep the left oriented.)
i will say, i’m not sure the Civil War turned out “badly.” except for the slave owners… and that was only a temporary setback until they realized white was as good as black and it is cheaper to rent than to buy.
i think…only think, for the moment… that the conservatives are angry because they have been told again and again that they have been hurt. this was pretty much Hitler’s path to power. How did that work out for them?
Dale: ” (i think name calling is counter productive, but it may serve to keep the left oriented.)” Name calling is one of many issues. Hillary’s use of “deplorables” was typical of what I call the left’s arrogance. Too often I perceive they thik there is only one correct view. There’s!
With the rise of the far left n the Dem party the frequently espoused part views have moved far from those of middle ground/independent voters.
the left thinks the right is arrogant and far from the middle ground.
the right thinks the left is arrogant and far from the middle ground.
yet there is no virtue in being the middle ground. people believe whatever the current propaganda of their choice tells them to believe, and whatever propaganda for past generations has told their fathers and mothers to believe
i think, of course, that there are ways to tell the “truth” or at least the “good” and get past all that propaganda… but it takes work and i could be fooling myself.
certainly fooling myself if i expect anyone else to try it… or think they are trying it and come up with the same answers i do.
for my part, i think that the human brain does not care about truth or good or logical. all it cares about is “association.” we are fortunate that sometimes nature forces us to associate some effects with causes in the real world.
sadly, it’s usually too late to do us as individuals any good.
“With the rise of the far left n [sic] the Dem [sic] party . . . ”
LOL! That’s hilarious.
There hasn’t been a left, let alone a far left, in the Democratic party since 1976. Since then, what we’ve seen a rise of in the Democratic party is the center-right. The Democratic Party to day is what we used to call “Rockefeller Republicans” back in the day.
With the rise of the extremist right in the Republican Party, the center-right Democratic party is as far left as American politics goes. There is no significant “left” in America today.
I find this article exemplary of how many thinking Republicans/Conservatives perceive recent history: https://chiefio.wordpress.com/2018/04/20/thus-trump/#comments

Every election we appear to move closer.
What a deplorable post lacking in any sense of the reality.
I love the “swamp part” though, it is the epitome of conservative thought as opposed to the reality of conservative actions.
EM, are you, of all people, claiming to be expert on what is/might be conservative reality?
Expert? No.
But I know a swamp dweller when I see one. And they are conservative reality, always have been.

He is simply a racist, incompetent liar. And conservatives could care less.
You are making me laugh
I simply cannot imagine any links that could be worse. And I thought the climate change links were ludicrous. These people are mentally disturbed.
I think government-phobic conservatives are no-anarchists — on the ideology spectrum.
EM, The Atlantic? Wiki says this: “Politics

What a deplorable article.
4-20 day!!
What were you doing at 4:20 this PM?
I live 10 miles from the cannabis is legal state of Mass!
A group of high school kids in Marin Cty Ca would get together at 4:20PM to toke up b4 Mom and Dad got home from work.
Not such a big deal in 9 states (so far)!
Disclaimer….I am not in to 420!
“Hillary, who historically may be the worst of the Democrats ever to run. ”
And yet, she still beat Trump by nearly 3 million votes. Trump was appointed by the electoral college.
So to sum up, The Atlantic endorsed Lincoln, Johnson and Clinton and that means trump is not the biggest liar in the history of the US.
That is some math.
actually, I think
