“I want Americans and families to be able to not just get by, but be able to get ahead.”
And quite frankly, Trump is not interested in Americans and Families unless they are a part of the 1-percenters in Income. To be in the top 1% of earners, you’re looking at an average annual income of $819,324. The top 0.1% of Americans earn an average of $3,312,693.
These are same people who benefit the most from Trumps tax breaks,

Trump wants to TERMINATE the Constitution, Progress Report (CAP)
Last night (October 23, 2024 Town Hall), Vice President Harris answered questions at a town hall in Pennsylvania to address the issues that matter most to everyday Americans. Harris shared her vision to improve the lives of hardworking families and protect Americans’ most fundamental freedoms. Former President Trump declined the invitation to join, seemingly focusing instead on sowing division, lining the pockets of billionaires and greedy corporations, and giving himself more power.
Trump has made clear time and again there’s no pillar of democracy too sacred to be sacrificed if it can help him gain power.. Project 2025 outlines exactly how he could gain unfettered power—by gutting our system of checks and balances to consolidate power for the president. This agenda would make it easier for government officials to break the law without any accountability, seek revenge against their political opponents, and target citizens with whom they disagree. And the MAGA U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decisions on presidential immunity and regulatory power will make it even easier for them to do so.
When draconian abortion bans pit doctors’ fears of prosecution against their patients’ health needs, women die: Amber Nicole Thurman, Candi Miller, and Yeniifer Alvarez-Estrada Glic all died because Trump’s dangerous abortion bans prevented them from getting the care they needed. Because of Mississippi’s restrictive abortion ban, a 13-year-old sexual assault survivor was forced to give birth. Amanda Zurawski’s health, fertility, and life were put at risk due to Trump’s abortion ban in Texas. And even in states like Nebraska that have so-called exceptions for the life of the mother, Kim Paseka was forced to “bleed out” her pregnancy at home due to the state’s restrictions. That’s why Vice President Harris is fighting to reinstate Roe v. Wade and end this senseless cruelty.
Whether it’s mortgage payments or rent payments, overwhelming housing costs are too often one of the greatest burdens for working families. Vice President Harris plans to expand the supply of housing and increase access to homeownership—both key to solving America’s housing crisis. By using tax incentives to construct more than 3 million new affordable homes and rentals and cracking down on abusive corporate landlords who are artificially driving up prices, Harris is working to make rent more affordable. She’s also promised a historic $25,000 in down payment assistance for first-time homebuyers to make homeownership not just a privilege for the most well-off, but a truly attainable goal.

“ Harris’s most effective messaging is her policy on reducing the cost of living. Of all her ads, the one that registered most positively among voters is the one in which she says:
When I am elected president, I will make it a top priority to bring down costs. We should be doing everything we can to make it more affordable to buy a home and more than 100 million Americans will get a tax cut. I will help families; letting you keep more of your hard-earned money. As president, I will be laser focused on creating opportunities for the middle class that advance their economic security, stability and dignity.
Greenberg’s argument is reinforced by a survey of Pennsylvania voters out today from the Center for Working-Class Politics, co-sponsored and published by Jacobin. The survey compared Harris’s various messages, and found that “all populist and economic-centered messages outperform those that focus on immigration and abortion, and they dramatically outperform messages foregrounding Trump as a threat to democracy”
