Bill Kristol Cannot Tell the Truth

I have yet to call anyone at the Weekly Standard a liar even though on occasion, I have been quite tempted. But William Kristol’s Holbrooke: I Don’t Know the Truth is beyond the pale. His attempt to discredit the New York Times story about the missing explosives takes out of context a comment by Richard Holbrooke Fox’s Big Story with John Gibson. Read for yourself this pathetic op-ed.

I know the rightwing would love to blame Senator Kerry and Mr. Holbrooke as they were responsible for this mess-up. After all, George W. Bush only plays Commander-in-Chief on TV and Condi Rice has never been the National Security Advisor preferring the job of being Karl Rove’s copy girl. Then again – Bill Kristol has never been a serious journalist either.
