RFK Jr comes to Jesus

As a lifelong member of The Church of the Second Chance, I get this:

“Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep. ‘ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.”

So I guess RFK Jr. is the one sinner who repents, and if it’s genuine, we should rejoice:

“Amid a growing outbreak of measles in Texas, recently confirmed Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is urging parents to vaccinate their children against the disease.

“While such a recommendation would be usually be unremarkable for a secretary of Health and Human Services, it was a notable one from Kennedy, who has spent years casting doubt on the safety and reliability of that vaccine and others, despite the enormous body of evidence that supports their safe and effective use.

“Kennedy published an op-ed on Fox News on Sunday urging parents to consider the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine for their children, laying out the benefits of vaccination.”

It’s a shame that the suffering and deaths of children were required before RFK Jr. to see the error of his ways. But in the spirit of scripture, I guess we should welcome him back into the fold of reality.
