Don’t Bring Your Weapons (guns) to the Airport
Even after all of the knowledge we have gained over the years, people still do silly things. Then they wonder why the issues by authorities about their actions.
Bringing your loaded weapons (guns) to the airport even if it is in a suitcase.
One example: Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport was ranked fourth in the nation for TSA gun confiscations last year.
Why it matters: Most of the guns found at airports nationwide were loaded, which threatens the safety of employees and other passengers, per the TSA.
- Plus: A firearm discovery brings the TSA line to a standstill until police resolve the incident — delaying travelers from getting to their gates. People who bring weapons to an airport can face civil penalties that can stretch into the thousands of dollars.
By the numbers: Federal agents found 247 firearms at Sky Harbor’s TSA checkpoints in 2024, up from 235 in 2023.
Kind of stupid for people to pack weapons, much less loaded weapons (guns) in their baggage.

I’m surprised that none of the ammosexual legal rights advocates haven’t filed suit to allow loaded firearms on planes. The 2nd Amendment didn’t exempt aviation from the right to bear arms. Same with White House tours, press conferences or sessions of Congress. What’s a poor militia to do?
Or the Supreme Court chambers.
