Yes, I liked it as well….up to a point. The DNC is not much better, if truth be told.
McConnell, Trump, and their supporters in Congress, not only refuse to give assent to these laws, they won’t even allow the legislation to be debated by Americans’ elected representatives.
How has the DNC faired, with its Rusophobia….or just ignored what was actually revealed by Wikileaks? Never denied it.
Mystery of life, Pete Buttigieg. How is he even in this race? How does any Dem vote for him? 8 years of being a mayor of a city of 100,000? And screwing that up by allowing a racist police force.
I can only think that his votes are a result of IA and NH, and once out of those white states he is going to have a really big problem. That would be good for all Democrats.
“As long as I’m dealing out a nickel’s worth of free advice to virtually everyone—you may remember me from my 2012 gig as Willard Romney’s covert-ops speechwriter—here’s a thing Pete Buttigieg and his campaign should stop doing. From ABC News:
‘Then last week, Buttigieg wrote an op-ed in a major South Carolina newspaper saying his campaign has “proudly partnered with local businesses,” citing Diane’s Kitchen in Chester and Atlantis Restaurant in Moncks Corner. But when ABC News reached out to the entrepreneurs about these new partnerships, they only remembered welcoming Buttigieg’s campaign as customers, not forging any sort of partnership with the candidate.
“I stand for what I stand for and I didn’t say I had a partnership,” Diane Cole, the owner of Diane’s Kitchen, told ABC News on Friday, Feb. 14.’
Forget political clumsiness. Getting 86’d from Diane’s Kitchen is a soul-killing prospect. A week from Sunday, I expect to be chowing down on meatloaf and green beans on my way between Charleston and Asheville.
Oh, and Pete? Stop trying to help yourself, man.
‘After being asked by ABC News about Cole’s reaction, the campaign sent a series of messages to Cole trying to persuade her to change her position so it would more closely match the language Buttigieg used in his op-ed. One version misspelled her name. Cole told ABC News she rejected the initial requests, telling the campaign: “It sounds like you’re saying that I am your business partner. I’m only going to accept that you all stopped in while you were campaigning in South Carolina and I welcomed you all.”’
As the ABC story makes clear, this isn’t the first time the Buttigieg campaign has tried to run this riff, largely because he’s still polling in the petrified forest with African-American voters. Other than showing up in a George Wallace suit, I can’t think of a worse way to woo people than to try, repeatedly, to run this okey-doke past them like they haven’t spent their political lives seeing through white people’s bullshit. And if your whole campaign is based on We Are The World, Seek A Bright New Day platitudes, this is an authentically godawful look. As someone wrote a few months ago concerning a Buttigieg rally, “This was the most inspirational corporate retreat I’ve ever attended.”
Comparing the DNC to trump, McConnell et. al. is simply incredible bothsiderisms.
The DNC did not affect the 2016 primary at all. Much ado about nothing.
Sanders won mostly white state primaries, and mostly caucuses. He lost in state with a real minority representation. Explain to me how that goes along with this ridiculous assertion.
And even if it was true, it is almost meaningless compared to the ongoing destruction of the Constitution.
Great writing:

Lots of anger out there. It is a bit scary at the moment. (And I’m thousands of kilometers away).
You think? I read it also. It was a good commentary.

DNC grifters spoil Iowa vote. Whatever happened to democracy?

Worrying about a leaky tap when the house is on fire is pretty dumb in my book.
Reason,
Exactly.
