Trump treats Americans like we’re chumps
Check out the entire interview as it was excellent. But I had to look up this old fashion word:
a person who is easily tricked : a stupid or foolish person
OK – Trump supporters are easily tricked. But Trump wants to pretend he is a young vigorous man! Chris Matthews did talk about young people who are more likely to check out Urban Dictionary than the old fashion Merriam-Webster dictionary:
Someone who does not understand the basics of life on earth. Confused easily.
Actually this is the perfect description for Trump supporters. There are more definitions at Urban Dictionary that I would submit also apply!
Who does Panetta think is “easily tricked”?
Those who believe that Russia had a impact on dumping Clinton are very easily tricked.
Sad that Krugman, among the media blizzard against the presidency, is one selling the .00000001 chance that Russia effected the election as if it were truth.
“Easily tricked” is buying Mueller’s top cover for the Russia gate operation.
“Who does Panetta think is “easily tricked”?”
Chumps like ilsm. Thanks for the really easy question!
One is a tidbit buried in the Mueller Report that one of the last pieces of polling data the Trumpsters gave to the Russians was on Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, and that indeed in the final weeks of the campaign, when Hillary was stupidly off campaigning in Arizona and Utah, the Russians in fact were targeting those states with an intense social media campaign. That probability looks a lot higher than the miniscule one you listed.
2) In the midst of a speech to a bunch of Armenians this past week that mostly was a lot of praise. Trump, Rod Rosenstein dropped without any followup that what was revealed in the Mueller Report (28 meetings and over 100 contacts between the Trump campaign and Various Russians) was “only the tip of the iceberg.” So, ilsm, it looks like there was much more than we have been told, which will probably come out some day. Anyway, yet another reason your miniscule probability is too minscule almost certainly.
Would you want to deal with a “leader” who knocks out leaders like Qaddafi and tried on Assad, in the case of Ukraine pulled a coup because the elected president was not suitably opposed to Russia?
Clinton campaign could have sold something other than the meme that “voting for Trump is deplorable”.
A “referral process” on the floor of the House would clear a lot of the drips coming out in the media since well before the election and put it all in context.
As to Russian targeting what is “intense”? I reject the hypothesis that anything Russian changed any minds. In 2016 the signal to noise ratio was out of bounds!
The hypothesis I accept is Russians preferred Trump to Clinton, whose protégé since Strobe Talbot in 1993 Nuland (married in to the Kagan family) fostered the Maidan revolt, because the elected president Yanukovych was “soft on Russia”. Installed “leader” Petro Poroshenko was more to Obama’s liking.
Last week Poroshenko lost a Zelenskiy of whom Poroshenko said Moscow is rejoicing.
Similar Poroshenko style sentiments were expressed shared on election night 2016 by Clinton and Lester Holt at least.
We need to know where all the accusations arose, and finally why should calling Trump a Russian tool be cricket during a campaign!
Or it calling the opposition traitors the new liberal?
The 2016 vote in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania for the two other parties (Libertarian and the Communist) was at a historical high (6, 5, and 3 to 1) in each state. In previous years, it was much lower and hoovered around 1% of the total vote. The impact of influence leading up to the election did have a profound effect, a good hack job as cheered on by Trump and his campaign. Only Wisconsin had a lesser turnout in 2016 when compared to 2012 of 3%. The election numbers do point in the direction of Russians influence and the Mueller report will more than likely confirm the amount of Influence the Russian had as depicted by those numbers.
Kind of a tangent, but has anyone tried to estimate the impact of non-Russian foreigners on our election? For example, in October 2016 in my home in Cincinnati, I got a knock on the door from a Clinton outreach effort that included a Dreamer who was Mexican. I thought nothing of it until the I started reading in-depth legal analyses of the Trump Tower and what constituted getting a thing of value from a foreign person. Seemed to hit the same criteria as to thing of value and foreign person.
The bluster storm about russiagate is same as the bluster storm about Saddams WMD’s there is no truth to either Russian collusion, or the effects of Russian interference, any more than there were WMDs’ in Iraq.
Even to the point of questioning the loyalty of anyone not buying the lies.
Mueller is the russiagate version of Colin Powell with a tiny fraction of the trustworthiness Powell lost selling the WMD lies.
The main difference Russia gate is a coup attempt against the US not Iraq!
I will never again conclude TDS; that which is explained by malicious intent to perpetrate a coup against the US.
One of the items on Barr’s list is the Clinton foundation and millions from Saudi as well as a sale of Uranium to Russia. There is a valid predicate, unlike the gathering of evidence to stage a coup against Trump.
There are WMDs in Iraq too.
Run here’s more:
Why would American libertarians come out and vote more bc the Russians?
Same for American communists, they likely came out and voted for Clinton or the Greens seeing as the Frankfort school is all for her coup.
Why would American communists vote the way Putin wants? Putin is an oligarch and a defender of the Orthodox Church.
Not only do we need to buy that Russia over come billions and billions in US funded media bluster but that they conned like magic!
It is too late for more. You should have thought of your “more” before your SA remark which is a non sequitur. Libertarians and Communists did not come out and vote. People who did not want to vote for HRC and would have voted Dem otherwise did. As I said, historically this vote for either of them was historically high. The resulting higher vote can be the result of Russian influence via the media as I said earlier.
“Trump’s chumps.” I like it.
Blog is cursed.
I get that ILSM hates Bush41. I get that he hates Hillary Clinton. But it is very odd that he adores Donald Trump. Unless ILSM is on Putin’s payroll.
Sorry, did not get around to replying to your reply to me, and this thread is about to scroll off.
On Obama I shall grant you one, but not the other two. I grant you Qaddafi in Libya, which Obama himself has said is the biggest regret of his presidency, a clear mistake, although in fact it was (and remains) a highly complicated situation about which I did a lot of blogging at the time that holds up pretty well in retrospect. But let us simply agree that was a massive messup, even if it is not exactly clear that an alternative policy would have led to a much better outcome.
On Syria, Obama did not make much of a serious effort to “on Assad” or however you put it. He did support some Sunni radical factions against Assad, but they never were all that successful, and there was going to be a horrible war there pretty much whatever Obama did. It is generally viewed that his biggest mistake was his failure to bomb Assad’s Syria after his “Red Line” remark, whereas actually the mistake was the Red Line remark itself. In fact rather than bombing he negotiated with Putin and Assad to have Assad remove his chemical weapons, which he partially did. I think this is the sort of thing you approve of ilsm. Why are you whining about Obama’s policy in Syria? You look either uninformed or just plain hypocritical on this one, although Syria was a mess, although maybe now in better shape than Libya.
As for Ukraine, I do not approve of Nuland or her handing out cupcakes in Kyiv, but asserting that the US was responsible for that uprising is just pathetically false bs. It is this sort of ridiculous remark that has people calling you a Russia bot. Where did you get this from, RT? Do you also think it was the Ukrainians who shot down the Malaysian airliner? How far out of touch with reality are you on this stuff? There simply is no justification for Putin annexing Crimea, none, certainly not Nuland handing out cupcakes. How despicably out to lunch.
