North Carolina and Wisconsin
Persuasive Case of Voter Fraud and Republicans Do Not Care North Carolina: The first public indication things were not right in Bladen County occurred weeks ago. The North Carolina State Board of Elections did not certify the results of the closely watched 9th Congressional District race. Republican Mark Harris appeared to defeat Democrat Dan McCready by just 905 votes.
Atlantic Staff Writer: David A. Graham “A congressional race in North Carolina suggests that the likeliest threats to the integrity of elections are not the ones GOP lawmakers are addressing.”
Documents released by the NCSBE on Tuesday revealed a political-consulting firm contractor for the Harris campaign had requested almost 600 absentee ballots in Bladen County. According to reporters and in sworn affidavits, Dowless had a team of workers going around collecting absentee ballots from voters, a violation of state law. The affidavits also allege, the Harris campaign workers helped to complete ballots for voters, another violation of the law.
Both Bladen and Robeson Counties had an unusually high number of unreturned absentee ballots indicating they were collected by someone and never turned in. It is unclear to the extent whether these workers were aware they were breaking the law. Harris’s campaign says he was unaware of any illegal activity. The Harris campaign and Red Dome consulting firm, Red Dome received NCSBE subpoenas.
Dowless was hired to get the vote out, and he got results. More absentee votes came in by mail from Bladen County than any other county in the 9th district. Bladen was also the only county in the district where Harris beat McCready in mail-in votes. even though the district’s party registration leans Democratic.
Republicans Stymie Democrats in After the Election Wisconsin: In the early-morning hours Wednesday, Republicans in majority control of the Wisconsin legislature carried out their plan to neuter the Democrats who were elected to office in November.
In party-line votes, Republicans passed legislation to limit the ability of the incoming governor (Tony Evers) and the new attorney general, (Josh Kaul), to deliver on their campaign promises of protecting the ACA, expanding infrastructure spending, and overhauling the state’s economic-development agency. The Republican legislature scaled back early voting in Wisconsin. They shifted power from the state’s executive branch to be administered by Democrats in January back to the Republican legislature.
In Lame Duck session, Republicans did all this over the protests of demonstrators who swarmed Madison and those of Democrats. Republicans did little to dispute what Democrats called a power grab.
In both North Carolina and Wisconsin, let alone Georgia and Florida; the battle over voting and aftermath election practices is still going on today. More on Michigan.
“Are Rural Voters the ‘Real’ Voters? Wisconsin Republicans Seem to Think So”
Scott Fitzgerald, the majority leader in the Wisconsin Senate: “State legislators are the closest to those we represent. A statement after Republicans voted on the changes before dawn on Wednesday. They’re the ones who hold town hall meetings, who listen directly to constituents across the state. Legislators should stand, he said, ‘on equal footing with an incoming administration that is based almost solely in Madison.’”
That argument is particularly debatable in Wisconsin, where the legislature has been heavily gerrymandered.

KK.
Right. The GOP is well known for being on the exact same page as the Dems on the safety net.
You can look it up.
Run,
In PA also.
“We’ve spent most of the weeks talking about the ways, big and small, that Republicans in the various states have determined that their control over political institutions should not be inconvenienced by such trivial matters as losing elections. It’s happening in Pennsylvania, too. From the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:
In the weeks before the November election, Republicans backed an unsuccessful legal effort to get her kicked off the ballot on the grounds that she did not meet the residency requirements outlined in the state constitution, which says that lawmakers must live in the state four years. Ms. Williams, who has repeatedly said she does meet the requirements, prevailed and won election in the 38th Senatorial District, which includes parts of Pittsburgh and its northern suburbs.
In a letter dated Thursday, Mr. Scarnati said he questions “your qualification to be sworn in to serve in accordance with the Constitutional requirements.” He gave her seven days to provide copies of her driver’s licenses, employment history, tax withholdings, home purchase or rental agreements and any other information she deems relevant. He said she may request a hearing before a panel of senators. He said she may receive pay, hire employees and do other administrative duties during the month of December, but if the Senate decides not to seat her in January, she will need to repay her salary.
She wins in court, and that’s not enough. She wins at the polls, and that’s not enough. An angel could descend on her from a winged chariot and these guys would ask for the angel’s papers and write him up for parking in a loading zone. There is nothing on heaven and earth they wouldn’t ratfck.”

EM:
I would not hesitate till January, I would take it to state court again, to the same judge, and see if the judge will rule them in contempt. Here in Michigan, we have a Veterans Commission for the county. A lady came forward and donated vacuum cleans, a lawnmower, and some other articles. She also wrote a check for $400. The Veterans Commission member and recipient requested the check be made out to him which the donator did. Belatedly, she asked for a receipt.
The Veterans Commission member took the check, cashed it, and bought a plaque for the Sheriff’s department honoring veterans rather than process the check through the county. There does not appear to have been any report of the donation, bids for the plaque, approval for the purchase, issuance of a purchase order, or input of the rest of the money to the veteran’s commission. The Repub County AG says there was noncompliance but he will not do anything.
Brought to you by the same blog that has for years vehemently denied there is such a thing as voter fraud.
@LJ,
This is about election fraud, not voter fraud. Can you spot the difference?
Yes and by elected officials.
Little John,
It’s not voter fraud because it’s not the voters who are engaging in fraud. It’s vote counting fraud and legislative fraud.
Karl Kolchak translated, Who cares if Republicans steal elections. After all we need them in office to transfer income from the working Joe to the ultrarich.
This is the reality of American politiics and Karl Kolchak does not give a hoot!

Helped complete ballots for voters. That implies that voters are complicit.
This is not even a discussion. You are are over reaching in an attempt to correct your inaccurate statement.
@LJ,
This is about election fraud, not voter fraud. Sadly, you don’t understand the difference, and would rather troll the thread.
For those who, unlike LJ, are honestly confused about the term “voter fraud” and why this is different, here’s an explainer:

Joel,
He has his corevian story and he is sticking to it.
