Some NFL players are supposedly kicking around a proposal by the league to donate $100 million, over seven years, to charities — possibly to buy (flag kneeling) peace.

I commented on the story that $100 million is literally 1/1,400,000th of our economic output over seven years. (Correct my math if I’m wrong — seems fantastic).

    A billion dollars is 1/20,000th of $20 trillion annual output. $100 million is 1/200/000th X 7 years.

More on taking a big page from Republicans anti-government union book of tricks. Wisconsin for instance requires gov unions to re-certify every years — majority of members not just voters required.

Okay, a near future (fingers crossed) Democratic Congress passes legislation requiring certification or re-certification labor union elections at every workplace. (See SEIU attorney article link below.)

Now think of this additional feature — that might become permanent though I have my doubts; not once new union members understand the advantage and necessity of organization …

… part of the election choice can be whether members wish mandatory re-certification after one year, three years or five years — plurality rules.

This extra choice could facilitate “yes” votes at high union-doubter workplaces and cancel the most rancorous debates before they start because pro labor can always say:”Ttry it for a year — can’t hurt.”

Illegal immigrant in San Francisco acquitted of shooting woman on bay front pier. She was hit by ricochet from 90 feet away. Prosecution says he was aiming at crowd. He says he was aiming at seal (must be sea lion). Bullet hit sidewalk. He said gun went off a accidentally. ??? Convicted of gun possession.

Big xenophobic call for “The Wall.”

32,000 traffic deaths annually in US — population 320 million = one traffic death per 10,000 persons = 100 traffic deaths per million persons. 12 million illegals at any one time = maybe 1200 traffic deaths caused by illegal immigrants every year! Get me Pink Floyd!
