A few days late for Thanksgiving, but … like a lot of people, I woke up to a real nightmare one year ago. One decision I made for mental health purposes was to focus like a laser beam on the economy rather than have my blood boil over each day by each new atrocity.
In the last few months it has occurred to me over and over to be extremely thankful that I am writing about the one aspect of America that isn’t going straight to hell.
It is good to have you at AB writing sound commentary.
I concur with Run.
And while late, I am joining you in focusing on other things rather than the day to day atrocities for my mental health.
I see Anne has become the EV long winded C&P moderator. Do not even bother with a read and move on to real comments there.
A very strange person, like all of us I guess.
” One decision I made for mental health purposes was to focus like a laser beam on the economy rather than have my blood boil over each day by each new atrocity.”
Good decision. Plus, econ is the driving force. Politics is only the reaction.
“In the last few months it has occurred to me over and over to be extremely thankful that I am writing about the one aspect of America that isn’t going straight to hell.”
Yeah, but what are you going to do when the economy starts showing vigor, and people start giving President Trump the credit?
Welcome to Angry Bear. First comments always go to moderation to weed out spammers and advertising. as far as your question about what will be done. . . . “laugh.”
I’m only thankful I’m still alive, can still think, and have a vote.. though the latter is of questionable value at best judging by the fact that over my entire voting life to date we still subjugate and oppress racial minorities, and have increasingly reduced the economic advantage of the lower 90% regardless of which party has been in power.
Some things never seem to change much no matter my vote to change them..
I agree with the impulse toward mental health and TV. Voting is just one of many options but I have come to the conclusion it is best to vote. I have gone local for now except for AB.
Lots of work to do…
Well, the economy is the driving force behind our trip to hell.
At least, I can’t see the advantage in a 4 tenths of one percent increase in the growth rate of GDP if it burns up the earth and all we get is cooler cars and golden urinals in Las Vegas.
Even the left cant think of anything better for the poor than to make them just like the rich.
