Kellyanne Conway Plays With Matches
If Kelleyanne Conway wants to see truly massive protests, she should continue to threaten Harry Reid with (il)legal action for making fact-based allegations against Trump, while herself alleging that protesters against Trump are professional protesters—that they’re being paid.
She seems unaware that she’s playing with matches. But she is.
The protesters are not organized? You sure of that??
What if the were Bev? Would that justify KAC’s words?

Hmmm. Not sure why you think I said they weren’t organized. By which I assume you mean, pre-announced. Like most major protests.
Also not sure why you think that people who arrive to an organized protest in buses are professionals, and paid. Here’s betting that, say, the participants in the March on Washington in 1963–aka, the “I Have a Dream” march–or any of the other major civil rights marches or the Vietnam War protests or the Tea Party protests or the KKK march through Skokie, Illinois (home to many Holocaust survivors)–weren’t professionals and weren’t paid a dime for their attendance. Even if they arrived in buses.
What a bizarre statement. Aren’t you on the side of Freedom! Liberty! and all that, Krasting?
The whole campaign they’ve been using flamethrowers and you’re talking about matches?
Kellyanne and her crowd may well end up victims of their arson this time. That was my point. She’s not throwing anything. She’s holding the incendiary in her hands and risking its going off.
No one is going to protest over Harry Reid. The MSM has been doing a great job of not reporting on his numerous corruption scandals but there is plenty of mud to sling at him if he runs his mouth.
He isn’t retiring voluntarily hes being chased out.
Harry Reid — wasn’t he the one that lied about Romney’s taxes?
Romney released only the previous two years’ tax returns, if I recall correctly. In any event, he didn’t release the ones Reid was talking about, which covered the period ending in 2009–the year most at issue, or a couple of key reasons.
Kellyanne Conway is a racist and should be shunned by decent people. Now I call her a racist because my definition of a racist is different than other people.
No one with an IQ over double digits does not realize David Duke as a racist. Similarly, those same people all know that Stephen Bannon is a racist. You have to be less intelligent to realize Trump is a racist. I mean, there are more than four decades of proof, and a campaign where he ran on being a racist.
But I go a little bit further than that. If you associate with a racist, you are a racist. It you work for a racist, you are a racist(I give a pass to those whose only way to feed themselves and their kids is to work for a racist). Kellyanne Conway is not one of those. And anyone who votes for a racist, is a racist.
Cob had a point about not attacking these people on that charge, and trying to work with them to make things better. Admirable on his part, but it does not work. They should be shunned at every opportunity.
Don’t play this political correctness bs, attack. Nothing in the history of the human race has caused more destruction than racism and intolerance of others, mainly because it is so easy to blame the problem of the country on “those people” and have people agree with that easy answer.
People keep talking about the path of the Democratic Party? Here is my answer, Call a spade a spade(pun intended). Call them out for who and what they are. They have never, and will never, vote for Democrats. So why care if they are offended? It is what they are. And to turn the other cheek leads to:
“First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. ”
Martin Niemöller
BTW, Cob.
I do find you basic thought civilized. But you should be aware that those groups mentioned above can change. And with Ryan, McConnell and Trump that group will include Social Security advocates.
EMichael you are not only a lunatic because the super moon is effecting your judgment, thinking and opinions but you are also a racist but don’t know it as shown in your old racist remark to call a spade a spade . What the heck do you think that remark use to mean in the old days? say back during the civil war. The pun was intended and as I said you must really be on another planet… Now I know you were a strong supporter of HRC so when did you stand up for any change of anything? You are fastly becoming the exemplary hypocrite with all your lunatic nonsense comments. Everybody but you knows that Harry Ried’s time is up and must go. He is now doing a disservice to our country with his stupid comments. He has become the latest and best mail carrier for the distortions and fanning the flames of the cry baby protesters of George Soros, the man behind the curtain…I’m sure that more WikiLeaks releases will soon prove this out as they always have…
WR:
What hallucinogenic are you on? A little history for you on a spade being a spade. At one time it was not a spade. “The idiom originates in the classical Greek of Plutarch’s Apophthegmata Laconica, and was introduced into the English language in 1542 in Nicolas Udall’s translation of the Apophthegmes, where Erasmus had seemingly replaced Plutarch’s images of “trough” and “fig” with the more familiar “spade.” The idiom has appeared in many literary and popular works, including those of Oscar Wilde, Charles Dickens, W. Somerset Maugham, and Jonathan Swift.” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_a_spade_a_spade

WR,
47 years ago today I was arrested for the first, and so far, the last time in my life.
I have spent the time since then working as hard as I can to bring change to this country.
Any criticism of me by such a person as you means absolutely nothing to me other than I have chosen the right side.
“I ask you to judge me by the enemies I have made.”
― Franklin D. Roosevelt
The idea that protesters could be paid provocateurs is absurd. If payments are being distributed to large numbers of people that would be the most difficult process to hide. In some manner word of the payments being made would have to be widely distributed. The source of such payments would be difficult to hide because the large amount of cash needed to make such sureptitious payments. And I’m talking about keeping that news from real news sites, not crap news like Breitbart Media or Fox Cable. I guess the old “they’re Commies” accusation is old hat.

i think you still misunderstand me. Nothing wrong with calling a racist a racist. But when you throw the term racist around all the time and at everybody you don’t like, the term either becomes meaningless, or people who don’t like your politics start being proud to be a racist.
Yes, there are very bad people running the Republican party. Some, maybe most of them are racists. But it isn’t smart to focus on that, except over some really explicit racist act. Focus on the economy.
btw, i have heard.. no way for me to verify it… that the election actually turned on the people who voted for Obama twice in counties where the employment rate has worsened over the past eight years, so they voted for Trump.
DO NOT expect other people to see the world the way you do. They are lied to all the time and end up voting against what they think hurts them. It is easy to make them think that’s race, or the government. We have to try to be smarter than the Liars.
I don’t understand what you were saying about Social Security
but I have been ten years trying to get the Left to point out that people can keep their Social Security forever if they just raise their own tax about one dollar per week per year for a short time. The Left doesn’t want the people to know that because they seem to be expecting a “revolution” in the near future in which they can tax the rich to pay for everything. I heard that ‘revolution” talk in the 1960’s. It doesn’t seem to have happened yet.
Now that the R’s have the votes I expect to see some fairly subtle and “entirely reasonable” change in SS that will end by destroying it utterly. I think that even racists would resist killing SS if they knew the facts and didn’t despise the messenger.
You cannot change racist thinking. Even Lincoln had to work with that fact to free the slaves.
Or anyway, you can’t change it overnight just by shouting at people.
Cob,
First you shout at them, and then you ignore them and go on and build a country that does not pay them any attention.
BTW,
There is no proof whatsoever that people that voted for Obama voted for Trump, with the “exception” of some exit polls. I find those polls have been historically incorrect, and I believe these current polls are the most incorrect.
No one, even racists, like to be called racists. And they go out of their way to show they are “not” racist. We talked about this before. The best way to cover up their beliefs is to lie and tell people they voted for Obama.
It is even more absurd than the Florida exit polls that showed that the second choice of Nader voters was split between Bush and Gore.
Somehow these polls are trying to tell me that a Trump that built half his campaign (and started his political career) on stating that Obama was not a legitimate President received votes from people that voted for Obama?
That dog don’t hunt.
To all AB readers and bloggers, for a more logical and rational explanation of what happened, why and what is really happening, not some fairy tail version. Go see to todays Counter Punch.org and read Michael Hudson’s article “It’s time for the Clinton’s, Rubin, Reid and Soros to go”..There are several other good articles there also you should read. You will be glad you read them and will gain some meaningful insight and perspective…What does being arrested have to do with anything? That only means that you broke the law. Just like the cry baby protest going on now is unlawful and is not the way change agents bring about any positive meaningful change . This is why we have a democratic constitutional republic. No wonder that old dog ain’t workin for you any more cause you cannot teach that old dog thinking of yours any new tricks…
You don’t know what the expression “Call a spade a spade” means, William? Seriously?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_a_spade_a_spade
It really does look like we’re headed into territory this country hasn’t seen since the end of the Vietnam War.
https://www.yahoo.com/news/ohio-state-student-arrested-after-tackling-anti-trump-speaker-160111812.html
Not nearly as violent and not involving nearly as many people, but still nothing like what we’re used to here.
And considering how clear and stark it already is that Trump is simply a front for the entire Republican establishment of lobbyists, lawyers, think tanks, donors, and Paul Ryan, there may well be some Trump voters who join the protesters fairly soon.
