Actually, I was born on the southeast side–Hyde Park/Kenwood–but we moved to the north side when I was three and a half. My parents both grew up in Albany Park on the northwest side.
Ernie did the best he could do. Most of the team was not there with the hittingest shortstop ever. Williams was at the game. Signed shirt by Banks as well as Snider. We won . . . .
Glad you noticed!
Jack:
WTF I am a northwest sider! I need to stop by and say hello nest time I am in town.
You’re always welcome.
My son moved to Park Ridge. Sold his home on the north side of the city.
Good choice of suburb. City feel to it; not postwar cul-de-sac-y. Real streets with real sidewalks, and a real Main Street-ish feel to the downtown.
I heard my uncle shouting last night all the way from heaven: Da Cubbies won da pennant!!! Da Cubbies won da pennant!!!
WOW. Da Cubbies won da PENNANT.
southwest
i think my family was always cub fans.
but now that they are no longer losers, who we gonna love?
North side, going way back. But my father’s father was a Sox fan–going back to Shoeless Joe. He could take or leave Da Cubs.
Well, more take than leave. But his heart was always with the Sox.

I missed the game and the box scores. How did Ernie Banks do?

With Reese and Furillo on the disabled list the Bums never had a chance. Alston must be tearing his hair out, what’s left of it.
