I’m about to become a Law & Order reactionary. When do the law enforcement authorities in Oregon or DC issue arrest warrants for the outlaws hold up at the bird sanctuary? I see a group of armed people making threats of violence and unlawfully occupying a government building on public lands. I don’t see or hear any member of law enforcement making any move to take control and make arrests for what seems clearly to be an illegal activity, guns and all. Where are the fabled NRA good guys with guns who, so is said by Mr. LaPierre, can be counted on to deal with these bad guys with guns?

Can the jackasses in the Congress who are giving verbal support to the outlaws in the sanctuary be prosecuted for sedition? I’m all for law and order. Were are those law and order candidates right now, when they are needed most?

I found this story interesting. I’m not sure it is 100% accurate, but can confirm from my own contacts that global trade has imploded in a very short period of time.

The Baltic Dry index is a measure of dry cargo shipping rates. It just hit a new low.

In my (many) years of watching the global markets/economy I’ve never seen anything like this before.

The US is plodding along at about 2% GDP. Unemployment is not a critical issue. Job growth has been strong. The banks are not a problem this time around. The headwinds are coming from outside our borders. Welcome to the Global Village…..

    No ships moving:

And when does the media stop referring to the jackasses at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge as a militia. Virtually every definition of that word, militia, includes some connection to a state or government. Militants? Good enough, but not a militia. According to the Oregonian one of their leaders is going to speak at a “community meeting” this week to explain how they get themselves out of their situation. http://www.oregonlive.com/oregon-standoff/2016/01/oregon_standoff_militants_say.html.

If these were black men and women occupying a library or some similar public building and carrying firearms to protest a grievance how many of them would now be toast as a result of police intervention? What makes this group, the Bundy Bandits?, entitled to different treatment by law enforcement by a government agency? Where has the Governor of Oregon gone during this crisis in his jurisdiction? The local Sheriff may be right to stand off, but the leadership in Oregon’s state capital should be taking a more definitive stand to uphold the laws.

Jack, you need to re-visit Ruby Ridge to understand the difference in behavior of local police where people know them and where they live vs the problems with federal police involvement.

It is not the locals in this case that are committing the criminal trespass armed with guns. The perpetrators of the crimes are outsiders using a local problem to express their criminal intentions. Arrest by the local law enforcement or the appropriate federal agency is called for. The Governor of Oregon should be recalled or impeached for not speaking out and taking action through Oregon state police department.

    Jack,

Tea bagger voters enjoy watching Obomber’s gumint embarrassed by white trash, many on disability taking over a heated, wifi enable gumint center to go on line and tell their supporters to send Doritos!

The Bundy mafia are cowboy libertarians. US government property close by is their free range to use for free.

Faggedaboudt the taxpayer, commoners and the rest.

These are budding 1%ers the GOP kowtows to!

The same gumint only exists to keep ISIS from trying to grze camels on their BLM land.

Hitler put the Bundy genre of untermensche away in Nov 1934.

Big part is Obama Derangement Syndrome.
