Bite Elantra Cunningham

Beverly Mann | May 12, 2015 5:24 pm

Or at least keep her overheated and without water. I mean it.

And let’s hear it for Michael Hammons of Athens, Ga.

I wonder if she owns a Hyundai.

Nah, they just named the car after her. She had first dibs on the name.

I think someone needs to stick her in an over-heated car and see how she feels… she makes me sick…

What about the poor dog? If she reacts this way in public, what is this poor dog enduring at home? This dog needs to be removed from her custody immediately!!!

I thought of that, too, Karyn. It’s one thing when a pet owner misjudges how hot it will get in a sealed car–that’s bad enough, but doesn’t indicate complete disregard for the welfare and the life of the pet. But this woman made clear her anger that her car window was broken in order to save her dog’s life. The dog needs to be removed from her care (such as it is).

Can I get this Heros info? I will help with his costs – and help prosecute the woman.
Also, has anyone called Animal Services? We can have the dog taken from her – and make sure shes never allowed a dog from a shelter.

There is a very special place reserved in the fire pits for her. Lets all just hope she hasn’t reproduced. She has a total disregard for life. I feel sorry for that puppy and offspring, an obvious self centered, selfish waste of oxygen. I say burn her at the stake, and remove anything that relies on her for life sustaining substances, including plants and all the way to a goldfish.. Thanks for reading.

This “woman” is selfish and nasty. The police should have arrested her for animal cruelty! God bless this veteran for having the courage to do the right thing! Can we start a go fund me page?

I believe the police arrested the wrong person. Elantra Cunningham should have been arrested for endangering her dog and the gentleman should have been the person to put her under arrest. Where’s PETA, Animal Control, SPCA these people should be investigating this women and take away any pets she has. If she lacks the common sense of leaving an animal in a hot car will we be reading about her in the next few years after she leaves a child in a hot car? It looks like she was more concern about her window than she was about the health and well being of her dog. That poor man that saved that dog is now going to have to pay legal fees and possible damage. I hope the judge he goes in front of is a good common sense person and a dog lover. I hope he lets the man good because of his good intentions and slams the women for her stupidity.

Just want to clarify that Cunningham WAS cited for leaving a dog in a hot car, and will have to appear in court on that. And also that the chance is virtually nil that this gentleman will be prosecuted on the charge; the prosecutor is entitled to, and almost certainly will, invoke prosecutorial discretion and dismiss the charge. Also, the cop said he was reluctant to file the charge but felt he had no choice because Cunningham insisted, and Mr. Hammons admitted breaking the car window and rescuing the dog from inside the car. The prosecutor, though, as I said, does have discretion to dismiss the charge and almost certainly will do that.

    Hi there,

I created a petition to request the sheriff’s office to drop the charges in case anyone wants to sign:
