    Not really a proper basic income plan because it had a means test. But yes, the best anti-poverty program is giving money to poor people.

    I applaud you for reading past the worl’s most boring headline.
    Giving money to poor people has low overhead.
    This is a huge issue with third world aid. Down there even semi volunteers cost a huge amount by the standards of aid recipients.
