Maternal deaths in childbirth rise in the U.S. By Carol Morello May 2, Washington Post
“The researchers estimated that 18.5 mothers died for every 100,000 births in the U.S. in 2013, a total of almost 800 deaths. That is more than double the maternal mortality rate in Saudi Arabia and Canada, and more than triple the rate in the United Kingdom.” http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/maternal-deaths-in-childbirth-rise-in-the-us/2014/05/02/abf7df96-d229-11e3-9e25-188ebe1fa93b_story.html
The headline probably should have read: “IBM keeps insane EPS promise by ex-ceo, sells off crown jewels, exits hardware business.”

I wish I could get paid $1.5B to buy an asset that recently got $3B investment by IBM shareholders.
oops I guess I should have kept reading – this Bloomberg story says Madame Rometty finally gave up on the EPS target…

Don’t worry about wall street though she’s still willing to borrow money to buy IBM stock! I thought Enron proved that didn’t work…
