The only way back — the easy way back — is legally mandated, centralized bargaining: one contract with all work related firms; no more race-to-the-bottom. That way the average person automatically has the same level of financing and same number of lobbyists as business ownership and 99% of the vote.
The Teamsters Union spread centralized bargaining across the whole country in 1964, after 30 years of trying, starting out in 1930s depression Detroit, with their National Master Freight Agreement. I am going to email something to every Teamster local in the country to try to encourage them to go out an preach their gospel of centralized bargaining to other unions — not to do anything about it right away; but to talk it up and educate everybody that this is "only way back."
