    just FYI:
Arizona’s Maricopa County tells Spanish-speaking voters to vote two days late –At least two official documents created by the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office misinformed Spanish-speaking voters in Arizona of the wrong election day and activists worry that the error could suppress Latino voter turnout on Nov. 6. ABC’s Phoenix affiliate reported last week that a document distributed with voter IDs told Spanish-speaking voters to vote on Nov. 8, but listed the correct Nov. 6 election date in English. And then on Monday, bookmarks distributed by the Recorder’s Office were discovered to have a similar problem: an incorrect Nov. 8 election date was given in Spanish, while English-language voters were correctly informed that Nov. 6 was election day.

seen something like this in florida, too…

AARP strikes a small blow? The Washington Post reports that the White House is thinking about replacing the payroll tax cut of 2011-2012 with something like the Make Work Pay tax cut of 2009-2010. (Of course Speaker Boehner opposed both.) http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/white-house-considering-new-tax-cut/2012/10/26/8187d726-1fa5-11e2-9cd5-b55c38388962_story.html?hpid=z1

On a more personal economic note I’d like to inform those of you who have an athletic bent of mind that my son’s latest book project is on the market. He’s the ghost writer (with attribution on the front cover) of “Making Mavericks”.
a memoir of a California surfing icon,”Frosty” Hesson. Available as an ebook directly from the publisher, ZolaBooks.com, here:
http://zolabooks.com/book/making-mavericks/overview. It’s also in paperback from BN and Amazon. It’s a gripping tale adventure on the high seas (granted a bit close to shore) and romance (a boy and his surf board).

There is a related movie that just opened nation wide, Chasing Mavericks. Read the book. My son doesn’t have any financial interest in the movie. And reading is better for the mind.

Side bar to David Michel. I didn’t want to redirect the conversation on Linda’s post regarding the Romney Money Cabal so I’m replying to your personal asininity here. Obviously you have anger management issues to cope with. Hopefully you’re not one of those “I need to carry a gun in order to display my masculinity” nuts. That might not be safe for those who live within your personal geographic region.

By the way who is Pat Condell? And is that you on the video appearing on your Google+ page? Are you on Facebook as well? In how many different locations do you spray your mark? Oh, another BTW. The rant about the Saudis in the video on your Google + page neglects to point out that it is the good old USofA that keeps the Saudi royal family entrenched in power and god awful wealthy. Obviously any U.S. President during the past 50 or 60 years could have had them replaced by a more loving and considerate ruler. Don’t you wonder why we support the Saudi royal family with such loyalty? Remember that the first planes allowed to fly on Sept. 12th were the Saudi family’s “get away” craft.

I know its difficult to keep the good guys and bad guys lined up in neat rows and distinct from one another. That must make you even more perturbed. Who are you going to hate? And, can you hate one without hating those who support those whom you hate? Again BTW, did you know that the Bush family has always had close ties to the House of Saud?

Hey, Jack–My son enthused about his trip over to Steamers Lane in Santa Cruz but somehow never make it to Mavericks. Once in a very great while, mothers’ prayers are answered. 😎 NancyO
