Binders Full of Battleships, Horses and Bayonets
I loved the horses-and-bayonets rejoinder, and I especially loved that it highlighted Romney’s incessant plucking of irrelevant statistics and misrepresenting what they indicate. But the line I liked best wasn’t any line that Obama said. It was this one, said by Romney in his closing statement:
I’ll lead you in an open and honest way.
You can start being open and honest now, Governor. You don’t have to wait until you’ve become our leader to be open. And to be honest.
Honestly.
Just like his open and honest campaign.
I like of putting Romney’s militarist keynesianism (to destroy America’s middle class) in the light of post 19th century world.
I was rather stunned he failed to prosecute the manufactured scandal of benghazi after flogging it for weeks. I guess it polled badly or maybe it got too hard for Rmoney to keep the attack organized in a way that didn’t risk real time fact checking.
An amazingly bad showing for a guy who expects to make a case as commander in chief. Pitiful.
Additionally for a debate on foreign policy I was somewhat dismayed nothing was mentioned about our relationships with euroland.
The inability to resolve their own version of the crisis means that failure to resolve it will eventually spill into our economy. I would have hoped this merited at least a subtopic on Scheiffer’s list but no.
I realize it may have been difficult to debate the issue – for all I know Rmoney’s positions on euroland don’t differ significantly from bogama’s (After last night how would anybody know?) but can’t help thinking this is more likely to be a bigger problem in January than the middle east.
Mittens, the militarist Keynesian pandering to war profiteers, needs to know that people who wore a uniform in the 60’s and 70’s remember where he was during Tet.
The attack PAC’s are still all Tailgunner Joe McCarthy (he was an intelligence briefer who took “rides” on dive bombers)over “Benghazi-gate”.
Willard tried to use those fresh graves, and decided to let the Rove machine do it!
Ann Romney could console the mothers of Romney’s war dead with tales of the depravations her sons enduring on ther mission trips.

i agree with you entirely.
but it might be worth noting that the local university newspaper managed to destroy the joke in reporting it. i expect most people won’t get it.
