Romney says he never paid less than 13% in taxes for any of the last 10 years. But how much would he pay each year once the Ryan plan is passed?
… And when, exactly, did he pay that at-least-13% per year? Might some of it have been paid under the 2009 IRS amnesty plan for people who’d been hiding money in secret overseas bank accounts, after the Swiss banks suddenly agreed to reveal to the IRS the identities of American account holders?
Just wondering.
He doesn’t say which taxes made up his 13 percent. Just total taxes paid. Maybe he is including real estate taxes.
how much would he pay each year once the Ryan plan is passed?
he would pay 0.82% under the ryan plan
Very interest question! He is hiding something.
His claim was completely mealy-mouthed. He is likely fudging both the numerator and denominator.
Do we really want an employee who doesn’t understand who he works for? If I refused to provide information for a potential employer, I would be told to look for a job elsewhere (assuming I was asked for information that was legal to use to deny my employment).
I’d say I was tired of this stuff but what I really am tired of is the upsidedownness of who works for whom.

hah! i tried that idea when i worked for the State. i insisted i worked for the people and tried to do an honest job. My co-workers told me i worked for the local boss and should do what she said, even if it was illegal.
your co-workers should be fired and charged with corruption crimes. Plain and simple! Local government corruption feeds the fear, paranoia and hate for the political right.

i might have thought that when I was younger. After many bruises and beatings i have learned that “reality” is small-group loyalty. people can rationalize anything. but what is important to them is “getting along with the group… especially the boss.”
and “the group” extends vertically upward.. so that while the local office peons get along with the local boss, the local boss gets along with her boss, and her bosses boss. up in the rarified air near the top of the heap it all looks “reasonable” because the nasty bits have been filtered out. One does not tell one’s boss what he doesn’t want to hear.
To all the Anonymi out there:
And this includes my pal and long long time AB poster/commenter Dale.
SIGN YOUR POSTS. Or figure out the relatively simple ways Blogger will sign them for you. Because this is bullshit and has been since the dawn of blogging when I God save me saw a commenter at the old Hegemon indignicantly claim “I am the REAL Anonymous”.
I haven’t talked to the Siteowner yet but I am thinking about suggesting open season on moderators deleting Anon posts out of hand. Even those that make sense and EVEN THOSE by my friends.
Don’t want to figure out Blogger? Fine, let the system label you as Anonymous. But for the FSMs sake make up and use a Sig name. Otherwise you just legitimate every troll out there just because you are too lazy to sign your posts. I mean after all these years I know which Anon is really Dale. But it is a stretch to leave everyone else in the dark. Particularly for those Anons who launch flame wars.
For example kharris and I have been alternately allies and vicious opponents over many years on many sites depending on issue and mood. But I have been Bruce Webb each and every time I didn’t screw up. Cause I don’t believe I drive by shootings. Or pure laziness. It is not like I am even asking you to use your real name, call yourself ‘John Rolfe Husband of Pochahantas’ for all I care. As I said Dan has the final call on this, I just know where my vote would be.
For those who have not tried using the NAME/URL option – It lets you input a name without logging into Google or any other site. (You can leave URL blank.)
Thanks Anna
i’ll try that.
But Bruce, I tried to tell you what I went through trying to get Blogger to acknowledge me. I won’t keep playing that game.
I’ll try to remember to sign my stuff, but give an old man a break.
dale
ok, that worked.
a word to Bruce and the site owner.
i don’t know if i am the only one that google “detected unusual activity in my account” but frankly, this old man thinks you need to find a comment-routine that is a little more user friendly.
“rage against the machine” means a little more to me than a music group that doesn’t requite Ryans love.
