Last evening Grover Norquist sat in with Bill Maher’s “panel” of discussants.  I was lack luster.  He repeated several times that Obama had cut food stamps to the poor as though that were proof that Obama is inconsistent.  Unfortunately no one responded to that absurd claim.  maybe they were unprepared.  Or, maybe it was such an egregious lie that no one paid it any mind.  I was disappointed that Maher didn’t take the opportunity to point out that Gingrich had continuously referred to Obama as the food stamp President.  Hopefully Grover would have suggested that Gingrich was confused so that it could then be pointed out that so too does Romney continuously state that Obama is some kind of socialist.  The radical right continuously contradicts itself.  Where are the fact checkers to poit out that they are liars.

Aren’t liberals sick of begging taxpayers to support programs they think everyone should want. You would think by now they would consider running government owned industry that could generate profit that could be used to fund social programs.

    Jack

the self styled fact checkers are either liars themselves or they are easily fooled by the self styled non partisan experts.

This article is absolutely wonderful.  It gave me a feeling almost of ecstasy.  But that’s partly because much of what the author said applies as well to another particular profession—one I’m more intimately familiar with.

I’m so glad I read it, RJS.
