And no plans to invoke his rights against self incrimination!  It’s like he’s daring Holder to indict him publicly.  Fascinating.

It could be the “there is no real defense so get in their faces” defense.

    just a heads up…

Bruce Krasting says Social Security 2011 – Another Bad Year…he concludes: The current thinking is that SS is a problem that can be worried about in another ten years or so. That’s simply not true.

From a comment at The Big Picture:

Tip of the Fraud and Waste iceberg in the military industrial complex:  http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-aerospace-fraud-20111207,0,6213284.story

    Somalia with 12 super carriers!!

From OMB Historic tables 3 and 10, 2011.

In constant US$ at pentagon spending “peaks” since WW II:
FY 2011: $701B (Does not include other spending as in DHS, DOE, NASA and DOT)
    FY 1989: $553B
    FY 1968 $595B
    FY 1953 $591B

In 1989 the US had the Red Army, Warsaw Pact and about 40% more soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen.
In 2011 the US has perpetual war on anyone scaring the 1%, nation building in southwest Asia, all for profit and pillaging the New Deal.

How come the US is spending more for fictional war than at the peak of the Reagan cold war run for profits?

More importantly, how does a super carrier stop a bomb-strapped guy from walking on a bus in NYC? Answer is that it doesn’t. We are not even geraing up for the right war.

there are bigger liars than Krasting writing about SS.  I can’t keep up with them all, and with Obama killing SS outright with the permanent payroll tax holiday, and the Democrats and Progressives rallying behind him, there is nothing more I can do.

Maybe Krasting will be out of a job soon.

don’t dount on it.  they can now arrest you and send you to Gitmo without trial, just on the say so of the sec’y of defense.

you have to remember that not everyone in the soviet union got sent to Siberia.  lots and lots of people still think Stalin was a good guy.

on the other hand, this is approximately the way Egypt has been run for the past five thousand years, so it may work out for them.

“Where’s that money, you silly stupid old fool? Where’s that money? Do you realize what this means? It means bankruptcy and scandal and prison! That’s what it means! One of us is going to jail…”

Well, it used to mean jail.

What we the people get from Keynesian war profiteering?

The Iranians got a US RQ 170, secret drone looks like a scaled down B-2.  The pictures are pretty pristine, seems they got it in Western Afghanistan.

From the pix it could have been:

    1. Landed under control, could someone have figured out how to take over the drone?   Can the US/NATO blame future “friendly fire” loses on this?

    2.  Did it have engine trouble (fairly common) and land nicely (not likely the flying wing flies like a frissbie if no controls)?

    3.  Was the comm link jammed and the thing floated to earth (not likely).

    4.  Maybe the Iranians just put together a plastic mock up from all those unofficial pix out on the www.

So much for spending 30% more money on super warfare than during Vietnam or the Reagan build.
