As a general principle this is impossible to argue with. But applying it to a specific conflict is hard if the parties are each thinking they are winning. Right now I’d say that there is very little Iran can do to compel the US to reach any particular agreement and it’s TBD if the reverse is also true.

LOL! Right now I’d say there’s very little Trump can do to compel Iran to reach any particular agreement. Trump and his GOP are desperately seeking a way out of this self-inflicted Israeli proxy war that everyone knows he’s lost.
