Democrats Need a Change
Lauren Egan writes . . . How Democrats faced a Joe Biden litmus test. But now could they also face a Chuck Schumer litmus test?
In an interview with Politico . . . Michigan state Sen. Mallory McMorrow (who is widely expected to announce a bid next week to replace retiring U.S. Sen. Gary Peters) said the Democratic party needs a generational change in its leadership.
“I think it is” time for Schumer to step back, McMorrow told Politico, adding that the GOP “is a MAGA party. And the same approach is not going to work.”
AB: I liked her as a Michigan State Senator. I liked how she handled adversity when accused of grooming children by another Michigan State Senator. A Senator who was known for underhanded tactics. I had the chance to read about Mallory McMorrow while living in Michigan just north of Ann Arbor. My comments were supportive.
Senator McMorrow was accused of grooming children by Republican Michigan State Senator Lana Thesis. This is a serious accusation and not to be taken lightly. McMorrow answered to the attack.
State Sen. Mallory McMorrow, D-Royal Oak, decried the political attack by Sen. Lana Theis, a Brighton Republican who made the accusation in a campaign fundraising email without providing any evidence to support it. Senator Mallory McMorrow blasts Lana Theis in viral speech, Detroit Free Press. I can hope for more like Mallory McMarrow. Her comment to Lana Thesis on the floor of the Michigan State Senate was rich in rebuttal.
“I am the biggest threat to your hollow, hateful scheme. Because you can’t claim that you are targeting marginalized kids in the name of ‘parental rights’ if another parent is standing up to say no,” McMorrow said, at times peering over toward Theis.
“You say, ‘She’s a groomer. She supports pedophilia. She wants children to believe that they were responsible for slavery and to feel bad about themselves because they’re white.'”
Michigan State Sen. Mallory McMorrow is expected to announce a bid next week to replace retiring U.S. Sen. Gary Peters. She said the Democratic party needs a generational change in its leadership. “I think it is” time for Schumer to step back, McMorrow told Politico, adding that the GOP “is a MAGA party. And the same approach is not going to work.”
McMorrow also shared with Politico a previously unreported letter she sent Biden after the debate urging him to step down from the ticket. Interesting that she felt compelled to share it 8 months later! AB:Yes and be mean while she had a chance. I get it.
AB: For once, Michigan may get a Senator who can work for families and woman outside of over promoting the automotive industry. The automotive industry has much influence on Michigan State and Federal politicians.

Here’s some down & dirty discussion about Democrats, there problems and what they need to do…

LOL! And Republicans *don’t* need a change? Where are the navel-gazing pieces about the train wreck that is the Trump GOP?
If you want to experience the fire and passion of Mallory, listen to her speech on the Michigan Senate Floor. If she gets elected as a Michigan Federal Senator, Michigan will be a force to be reckoned with in U.S. Senate, combined with our recently elected Elissa Slotkin who delivered a powerful response to Trump’s Joint Session speech. Two, very dynamic, smart as hell women.
J.P.
Ms. Slokin goes both ways and does what benefits her the most. I met her in Howell when Judy first brought her to a DEM meeting in Livingston County. She was not too forthcoming then. I did not trust her. She was kind of off to the side at the time. She has done well as the Senator from Michigan. She did beat the carpet bagger Rogers. Goes south and then comes back expecting to take Stabenow’s seat. I was invited to all of that stuff in Michigan. Just a nobody with some facts and a mouth who could also write.
