Fauci: No scientific evidence the coronavirus was made in a Chinese lab
National Geographic published this. This seems to be an unusual topic for that publication and I wonder why Fauci selected it.
Fauci: No scientific evidence the coronavirus was made in a Chinese lab
The rest is copied exactly from National Geographic
Fauci, the director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, shot down the discussion that has been raging among politicians and pundits, calling it “a circular argument” in a conversation Monday with National Geographic.
“If you look at the evolution of the virus in bats and what’s out there now, [the scientific evidence] is very, very strongly leaning toward this could not have been artificially or deliberately manipulated … Everything about the stepwise evolution over time strongly indicates that [this virus] evolved in nature and then jumped species,” Fauci says. Based on the scientific evidence, he also doesn’t entertain an alternate theory—that someone found the coronavirus in the wild, brought it to a lab, and then it accidentally escaped.
Spencer:
I would be wary of Fauci.
That it was not created in a lab has been accepted by most virologists, but the evidence is stronger that this natural animal virus got loose from a laboratory. These “wet markets” have been operating for decades and in many cities, but the Wuhan virus lab is only in Wuhan, while evidence has surfaced that it went through some kind of shutdown in October 2019.
“No scientific evidence the coronavirus was made in a Chinese lab” is true.
That is because a Putin-sponsored team created the virus in a Grupo Modelo laboratory. That is why it is called the CoronaVirus.

It looks like it was Fauci who financed Wuhan lab continuation of very dangerous “gain of function” experiments started at UNC Dr. Baric lab.

It is apparently the case that the second wave of the SARS pendemic in 2004 was trriggered by an accidental release from a lab in Beijing. It is also apparently the case that both of the labs in Wuhan were studying bat coronoviruses, and a paper released in Feb. by two Chinese researchers from the South China University of Technology but then withdrawn claimed that the Chinese CDC one, not the WIV one usually focused on, had bats in the lab fro Yunnan. If that was the case, looks like it would be very easy for the transmission to occur straight frmo a bt to a human in the lab.
This matter looks prettty uncertain at this point, and given that the Chinese are not letting any foreigners visit either lab or the wet market, it will probably not be able to be determined.
There also seem to be some serious problems with the wet market as the place of origin, even it was clearly a very early hot spot transmission location. This has led some who strongly oppose one of the labs as a possible source to speculate about the transimissioni occurring elswehere such as on a farm.
Why are you two giving the very conservative Red State and Washington Times such credibility?
Is there any other evidence, like budget documents, to support Giuliani’s claim that Obama gave the lab money.

Just watched John Barry, author of “The Great Influenza, interview on C-Span

Seems the biggest problem in 1918 was the lying to the public by public officials, the media, and politicians
I don’t know and I don’t care who gave whom money. People claiming that it is almost certain that it was not due to an accidental release from a lab are poorly informed. The second wave of the 2003-04 SARS pandemic started from an accidental release from a lab in Beijing.
Those claiming there was an intermediate animal in the world have a problem in that so far no animal obviously fits the bill, and the most likely candidate, the pangolin, was reportedly not sold in the Wuhan wet market. It remains very up in the air how this got from bats to humans.
Barkley:
I am reading more and more of the same along those lines. One doctor who helped developed the Anthrax vaccine was saying similar and did an interview on it. Fauci has some splaining to do eventually.
