When the issues of job creation and general unemployment come up it would be more accurate to recall that many state governments went for austerity at the beginning of the current economic malaise. It’s always a clever move to un-employ workers in the name of balancing a budget at the height of an unemployment problem.
Who needs teachers and uniformed services?
Bernanke has far less influence on jobs than does any individual Governor. People like Scott Walker seem to thjink that the best way to preserve their own employment is to increase unemployment of state and municipal workers.
