Sleestak on Real Natinal Defense Spending

Sleestak follows up the post on defense spending as a share of the budget and as a percentage of GDP:

To determine real national defense spending, I took “National Defense” from OMB Table 3.1. Also on that page, Table 10.1 has the “GDP Price Index.” I divided the national defense spending by this index to determine the “real national defense spending.”
