Neil Cavuto “Explains” the Rise in Gasoline Prices

David Kurtz watches Faux News so we don’t have to:

Always good to check in from time to time on the latest nonsense Ailes’ bunch has cooked up … Because if high gas prices aren’t Nancy Pelosi’s fault, then whose fault are they?

David shows a picture of Cavuto on Faux News with a caption talking about how gasoline prices have risen by 39 percent since Nancy Pelosi was chosen to be the Speaker of the House. It is true that gasoline prices were around $2.25 a gallon back in January 2007. Of course, folks knew by November 2006 that Pelosi would be Speaker. From July 2006 to November 2006, gasoline prices fell from around $3 a gallon to this $2.25 a gallon. Cavuto does Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc as he does not understand rational expectations. Just the kind of idiot that is perfect to do the business reporting at Faux News! And I complain about the stupidity of CNN’s business reporters. Silly me.
