Strong Employment Growth in March

Some good news from the Bureau of Labor Statistics:

Nonfarm payroll employment rose by 180,000 in March, and the unemployment rate was essentially unchanged at 4.4 percent, the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor reported today.

The decline in the unemployment rate – this time – came from a rise in the employment to population ratio from 63.2% to 63.3% as the civilian labor force participation rate held steady at 66.2%. It seems the increase in employment per the household survey was 335,000. Good news at least for most sectors.
