The National Review is touting all sorts of folks as being true fiscal conservatives. Mallory Factor endorses South Carolina’s Governor Mark Sanford with this subtitle:
For 2008, Republicans deserve the real thing: a proven tax-and-spending cutter.
But then he goes on babbling about Reagan’s acting career and how Sanford would be a strong performer on TV. Factor also makes some undocumented claim that South Carolina had runaway spending before Sanford became governor but then added this:
In office, he has cut taxes, passed tort reform, and increased education spending.
Tax cuts and spending increases. Yep – another Ronald Reagan and/.or George W. Bush.
