Rules? In a Knife Fight?!
Allan Marks, in a comment on a Krugman post, reminds me of one of my favorite scenes in filmdom.
Krugman’s complaining that he doesn’t understand the rules that his detractors are arguing by, and Marks suggests he watch this (55 seconds):
Is anyone else wishing our esteemed President knew the rules for knife fights?

Steve:
Interesting person Paul Newman. He went to a small college in Gambier, Ohio by the name of Kenyon (49) and afterwards started a theater there leaving behind a $10 million legacy. A great college in a hilly section of Ohio not far from Ohio Wesleyan where my son finally settled in for college. I engaged my first IML economist there as his daughter and my son toured the campus.
Why would anyone bring a knife to a gun fight?
Weird. The imbedded video is not visible in every view.
Here is a direct link to Allan Marks’ comment.
